I want to buy an amateur telescope in India. What can I buy?

My budget is 12,000 USD. It would be a Newtonian reflector. I can also second-hand to do. Plz suggest me where to buy and what to buy. Now I want to say that I live in Lucknow, UP, India.

See if you are outside of India can buy. You get better value for your money even if any fees on top of basic price and shipping.

Orion 8 f/3.9 Newtonian Astrograph Reflector Telescope

Orion 8 f/3.9 Newtonian Astrograph Reflector Telescope

$479.99

Our 8″aperture deep-sky imaging specialist boasts features usually reserved for much pricier astrophotography telescopes. In fact, the Orion 8″ f/3.9 Newtonian Astrograph’s powerful imaging performance easily exceeds what’s achievable with many premium apo refractors costing thousands of dollars more. Its 8″ parabolic primary mirror has 800mm of focal length, making the fast f/3.9 Newtonian an ideal wide-field astrophotography telescope. A substantial 70mm minor axis secondary mirror provides full field illumination to CCD and/or DSLR cameras for efficient astrophotography performance. This provides less than 10% light drop-off around the corners of very large APS-C sized sensors. Both primary and secondary mirrors boast enhanced reflectivity (94%) aluminum coatings with a protective silicon dioxide (quartz) overcoat. Three easy-grip, push-pull collimation hand knobs on the primary cell make collimation adjustments easy. Once aligned, three locking thumbscrews secure the 8″ parabolic mirror. Images acquired with the 8″ f/3.9 Newtonian Astrograph will exhibit maximum contrast thanks to sophisticated telescope features any astrophotographer will appreciate. Nine precisely positioned baffle rings along the inside of the reflector optical tube minimize internal reflections of pesky off-axis light for pristine imaging performance. To further optimize contrast and avoid off-axis light intrusion near the front of the telescope, the dual-speed 2″ Crayford focuser has been installed a full 6.3″ back from the front of the 30″ long reflector optical tube.

Orion 10 f/3.9 Newtonian Astrograph Reflector Telescope

Orion 10 f/3.9 Newtonian Astrograph Reflector Telescope

$649.99

Our largest reflector optimized for astro-imaging boasts 10-inch parabolic primary optics with a very fast f/3.9 focal ratio for exceptional wide-field, deep-space imaging performance. Even faint galaxies and nebulas exhibit stunning detail with limited exposure time when photographed through this large-aperture astrograph with a CCD imager or DSLR camera. You’ll get incredibly bright, crisp images that will make apo refractor aficionados green with envy – and you’ll have more green in your wallet thanks to this telescope’s more-affordable Newtonian design. Both the 10-inch (254mm) primary and secondary mirror feature enhanced reflectivity (94%) aluminization for bright, contrast-rich images. The 82mm minor axis secondary mirror provides excellent full-field illumination with modern CCD imagers and DSLR cameras, with less than 8% light drop-off at the edge of APS-C sized sensors. The adjustable 4-vane secondary mirror holder features very thin, 1mm thick spider vanes to minimize diffraction effects in images. A center mark on the primary mirror and three easy-grip collimation knobs make optical alignment easy and precise. Extended tube length of 7.5-inches in front of the focuser blocks intrusion of off-axis light, ensuring optimum image contrast.

Celestron SkyProdigy 130 Telescope

Celestron SkyProdigy 130 Telescope

$799.95

No knowledge of the night sky is required. One touch innovation turns anyone into an instant astronomer! Celestrons SkyProdigy telescopes use an integrated imaging camera and patented StarSense Technology to automatically align with the night sky and determine where the telescope is currently pointing. The camera automatically captures an image of the sky, which is processed internally to positively identify the stars in the image. Once a positive match is found, SkyProdigy determines the coordinates of the center of the captured image. The process is automatically repeated two more times so that the system has three known alignment points that can be used to make an accurate model of the night sky. From this information the user can select any celestial object in the hand controllers database, and SkyProdigy will automatically move itself to the correct position. 130 mm (5) diameter Newtonian reflector telescope 650 mm focal length (f/5) Computer driven GoTo mount with StarSense technology 25 mm eyepiece (26x) – 1.25″ 9 mm eyepiece (72x) 1.25 StarPointer finderscope DC operation (batteries not included) Pre-assembled adjustable stainless steel tripod The Sky X First Light edition astronomy software StarSense technology for true atutomatic alignment and slewing (GoTo) to over 4,000 objects Flash upgradeable hand control
