Use an Orion Enhanced diagonal instead. Their lab-tested enhanced aluminum coatings reflect 97% of the inbound light to your eyepiece, for brighter images compared to standard diagonals. Beautifully machined and anodized aluminum housings feature machine-threaded baffles for high contrast and nonmarring compression ring collars for securing the eyepiece. 2 Orion Refractor Telescope Mirror Diagonal $79.99 Many observers prefer to use a good-quality mirror diagonal instead of a prism diagonal with high-end telescope systems. The mirror in these 90-deg diagonals are meticulously polished to yield maximum performance. Housings are made of black-anodized aluminum. Barrels are internally blackened. Each 2″ diagonal accepts both 2″ and 1.25″ eyepieces (with included adapter). The 2″ eyepiece holder as two locking setscrews for maximum eyepiece security. These diagonals render images that are right-side up and reversed left to right (therefore, not recommended for terrestrial observing). Diagonals are not recommended for use in reflector telescopes.

Orion 1.25 45-degree Correct Image Prism Telescope Diagonal $49.99 For terrestrial viewing with a refractor or Cassegrain telescope, use of a correct-image (or image erecting) prism diagonal may be desirable. The image through the eyepiece image will appear upright and nonreversed, matching the naked-eye orientation. So a correct-image diagonal is essential for terrestrial viewing with the above telescope types and is useful for astronomical viewing for those that prefer to have the view through the telescope match the naked-eye orientation. We have three correct-image diagonals to choose from: a 45-deg 1.25″ version, a 90-deg 1.25″ version, and a 90-deg 2″ model (with 1.25″ collar). All are fully multi-coated and threaded for filters. Note that the 45-deg correct-image diagonal requires 5/8″ more focus travel than typical diagonals. Diagonals are not recommended for use in reflector telescopes.
